Haute Couture in East Tennessee

The dogwoods modeled their pink and white dresses;

 The red buds flaunted their new spring apparel.

While the tulips paraded in multicolored skirts

And sprightly strutted from yard to yard.

Forsythia posed on the hills and the roadsides

Where the daffodils flirtingly waved to us.

One should drive slowly when viewing God’s runway

That weaves around the mountain and into town.
